Stock Market Investment - Buy and Sell Shares for Profits!

We are committed to educating people with regards to investing and trading in the stock market. We show the private investor how to successfully invest in the share market and maximise their returns. Wouldn't you benefit from more knowledge before you get started? Would you agree it is best to have the best available knowledge and practical experience before putting your hard-earned money on the line?

Let's talk about stock market investment...

Stock market investment is quite different to stock market trading. Investing over the medium to long term requires less time but much more money than stock market trading. Every Rand you have to invest has to work much harder than if you used the same Rand to leverage in a geared trading instrument like CFDs.

The benefit with investing over the medium to long term is that any mistakes you make could be made right by time and a bullish market. If you bought a bad share in a good market you could be saved purely because as the market moves positive your bad 'apple' moves with it...

Fantastic returns are achieved when investing over the medium and long term. The trouble is that they are achieved over medium or long term investment periods. If you have a fair deal of money and a good few years you can make anywhere from 30-100% return over a long term period. The best thing about long term investment is that you can also enjoy dividends and rights offers. These really give additional returns to the private investor.

If you choose the right entry into a bull market then fantastic returns can be achieved over 5 years. The bull rally generally lasts for 5 years and then followed by 2 years of bear markets. This is a historic cycle repeated for just over 100 years. Knowing when to enter the stock market for the long term is vital then to achieve the best returns within the 5 year cycles. Do you agree that by having an understanding of and insight to finding the turning point in the stock market after a bearish cycle is priceless?

Understanding Investment cycles

The Fundamental and Economic Cycles course is the foundation for long term investment.

What is stock market psychology? It is the mental discipline, the very framework around your beliefs about money and emotional attachment to it. At least 90% of the money lost in the stock market is due to this factor: Investing Psychology. Many people succumb to their fears regarding money or the loss of money when they start investing stock markets! The challenge is arming the stock market trader with aids to cure the 5 fears of investing. Find out more...

Our viewpoint for 2011:

Although the recession is over the natural cycles of bullish and bearish waves are bound to take place. We still view the commodities as the asset class to be in for the short to medium term as the power house of smart money moves into and out of this sector to hedge the wealth against inflation and secure it due to safe haven fears.

By commodities, we mean this to be directly invested in commodities such as precious metals, minerals and oil. We prefer to focus on purchasing futures, CFDs and spreads on the Gold, Silver and other commodities than to actually take up positions in the stocks that derive their value from these minerals.

As markets are bound to overheat, they also blow off steam and retrace into lower discounted prices. In March of 2011, we feel this may be one of those times of short term bearish cycles similar to the one in January 2010.

Many support levels and negative triggers have taken place recently [March, 2011] to signal this possibility.

Our viewpoint for 2010 and beyond:

The recession is over. The next 5 year boom cycle is well underway! Commodities are also kicking up a storm as they shift into a reversal of a 200+ year of decline in prices.

Investors would do well to invest in commodities directly by buying the physical commodity in coins or similar as well as buying spreads, CFDS or Futures on the open market and holding for the next few years as a minimum. Shares and stocks are a secondary or tertiary option as they carry other risk such as labour cost, operational cost, political risk and so on.

Our Stock Market Outlook March 2009

We provide a stock market outlook in a weekly newsletter to investment club members. In March 2009, we published an edition stating that the bottom of the stock market was reached and that the stock markets will start recovering. We stated a number of reasons for this view on the markets, as to how we drew this conclusion. Since then the global stock markets are up between 30-50% from the lows in March 2009!

See our quick performance review section for some our more recent stock market calls. This is a summary of our investment club newsletter outlook. To find out more, visit our Wealth Club section.
